Please read this carefully, the placing of an order will be considered to signify your acceptance. Any contract made between the seller (Wandle Industrial Museum) (hereinafter called 'the seller') and the purchaser (hereinafter called 'the buyer') will be made under English jurisdiction and will be enforceable under English law.

The seller guarantees that all goods supplied will be suitable for their purpose within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Acts which is the body of law setting out sellers and consumer rights and responsibilities in the United Kingdom .

The seller guarantees to refund in full, the cost of any item found to be of defective manufacture or materials within twenty eight days of purchase .

The seller guarantees to refund the cost price of any item which is considered unsatisfactory for any reason within seven days of delivery provided that you have not damaged the item and that you notify us immediately of your dissatisfaction.

The seller reserves the right to make a 20% re - stocking charge. Under this part of the seller's guarantee, the seller will not refund any of the amount paid for delivery / handling. Both of these guarantees are subject to the acceptance by the seller that the goods where defective or damaged prior to being delivered to the buyer.

Before returning any item under our guarantee, the buyer should always contact the seller (contact information is obtainable below and you should make a note of this) and the seller will then give return instructions. In the event of goods returned due to damage / defect, then the seller will also refund the cost of postage incurred by the buyer in returning the item. When the seller or the seller's agent gives return instructions for goods that are alleged to be defective or damaged, the giving of those instructions does not imply acceptance that the goods are in fact damaged /defective and the seller reserves the right to examine or have examined all returned goods prior to accepting them and fulfilling the terms of the guarantees.

Delivery In the U.K., delivery is usually between 7 & 10 working days but please allow 14 working days. Payment by cheque will add a further 7 working days to this. If there is a problem , we will contact you. For non - UK customers, our experience is that you will usually get delivery within 21 - 28 days - sometimes a lot less but once your parcel has left the U.K. it is impossible for us to do anything to speed up the delivery process. You should also find out if you will be charged any tax on the import.

These are not matters that we can advise on and if you place an order we will assume that you have checked for this information and are satisfied that it is safe to proceed. We will not advise since one offical's viewpoint and interpretation may and often does vary from another's.

In the event of non - delivery by the seller's carriers, the seller will either replace the missing item/s or refund the amounts paid. In the case of Non - U.K. customers such refund / replacements will only take place after the seller's carriers have made their own enquiries and have acknowledged that the item is missing, this may take several weeks or month's but is beyond the seller's control. In the eventuality of goods seized by any non U.K. government body, the goods will be considered by our carriers to have been delivered and no refunds will be made unless the goods are returned to us in new condition by that government body. In this event we will impose our 20% re - stocking charge and will not refund any of the shipping / handling charges.

We ship via Royal Mail:

International orders outside of the UK will be shipped Royal Mail. Royal Mail Parcel Post is uninsured. If you wish faster and/or insured shipping you can specify accordingly, and the relevant charge will be added. Note: These shipping methods may be extremely costly.

Return Policy:

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from us. We accept returns within 30 days of purchase; please enclose a copy of your receipt and ship to our address above, attn: Returns. You may choose to have us exchange your merchandise or credit your charge card, exclusive of shipping/handling fees.

Discounts:

Members receive a 10% discount on all items. For information on how to become a member, click here. Educators may become members and enjoy special privileges at the Museum, including a 10% discount on most items.

Purchase Orders:

We accept purchase orders from accredited educational institutions and from government agencies. Purchase orders from private businesses and private educational institutions are subject to our credit approval process. We reserve the right to require prepayment of any order.
