Surrey iron railway - Update

As mentioned in previous Newsletters, Peter MacGow has completed extensive research on the SIR, and deposited his 200 odd pages with Croydon Heritage Centre.

With his kind permission we have (or rather Eric Shaw did - thanks Eric) all these pages, and we are reviewing them at present.

The work is extensive and detailed. Our current intention, with Mr MacGow's permission, is to concentrate our 200th birthday celebration of the opening of the SIR with an electronic publication of this work, enabling a much wider audience to understand the importance of the date.
